Press Release: Partnership Announcement

FoXX Health and the American Chronic Pain Association Partner to Give Women Living With Chronic Pain a Community, a Voice, and a Path to Better Care

FoXX becomes ACPA's exclusive women's health partner, launching two dedicated community spaces and a joint effort in research and educational funding

STERLING HEIGHTS, Mich., September 2026 – FoXX Health, the women's health technology platform built for women who have been dismissed or overlooked in traditional healthcare, today announced a partnership with the American Chronic Pain Association (ACPA), the nonprofit that has long led peer support and education for people living with pain.

Together, the organizations will expand access to patient education, community, and research for women living with chronic pain and related neurological conditions. Too many of these women spend years being told their symptoms are stress, in their head, or simply part of being a woman. This partnership was built to change that.

Two new community dens, built for women who are tired of being unheard

Inside the FoXX Health app, ACPA will lead two new community "dens,":

  • The Chronic Pain Den, a space for women to connect, learn, and find support from a trusted patient organization

  • The Movement Disorders Den, a dedicated community for women navigating neurological conditions that affect movement

ACPA will keep both dens updated and moderated, bringing its decades of patient education experience into a space where women are already tracking symptoms, spotting patterns, and preparing for appointments. FoXX users can log what they feel, learn from credible resources, and find others who understand, all in one place.

Research and funding, together

The partnership goes beyond community. FoXX and ACPA will take part in a clinical study together, pairing ACPA's patient-centered approach with FoXX's symptom-tracking technology to build stronger evidence around how women experience chronic pain and neurological conditions.

The two organizations will also co-write grants to fund educational initiatives. ACPA brings experience in advocacy and accredited medical education partnerships. FoXX brings a platform designed around what women say they need. Every grant will follow a jointly reviewed and approved budget, with transparency and compliance at the center of the work.

A partner to women everywhere

FoXX is ACPA's exclusive women's health partner, a commitment that reflects how seriously both organizations take this work. FoXX will also be featured in every issue of the ACPA Chronicle for the duration of the partnership, bringing women's health to ACPA's members on a regular basis.

"Women deserve to be believed the first time they say something is wrong," said Maria Haugen, Founder and CEO of FoXX Health. "FoXX exists to help women turn what they feel into information their doctors can act on, and to make sure no woman has to navigate that alone. Partnering with ACPA means a woman living with chronic pain can open our app and find not only her own data, but a community and a trusted voice that knows this journey. This is what it looks like to champion women's health: listening first, then building what's missing."

"Living with pain can be isolating, and women often face added barriers to being heard and treated," said Scott Farmer, COO, American Chronic Pain Association. "Bringing ACPA's education and peer support into the FoXX community lets us reach women right where they are, at the moment they are looking for answers. Together, we can make it easier for women to advocate for themselves and find the care they deserve."

The dens will be available in the FoXX Health app beginning in mid October. Women can download FoXX Health in the Apple & Google Play Stores.
