Founder, Maria’s Story

When I first felt the sharp, stabbing pain in my chest, I thought I was having a heart attack. The fear was real, but when I went to my doctor, my symptoms were brushed off and no tests were run.

The pain didn’t stop. For months, I lived in limbo, convinced something was seriously wrong. I was told to “rest,” but the flare-ups kept coming. Six months later, after finally seeing a new doctor, I was given a diagnosis: costochondritis, a condition often mistaken for heart attacks.

That long road left me shaken, but also determined. I kept thinking: What if I had been able to track my symptoms clearly from the start? What if I had the language to explain what I was feeling, and the data to be taken seriously?

FoXX was born from those questions.

I quickly realized my story wasn’t unique, countless women have been dismissed, delayed, or misdiagnosed. I founded FoXX to change that: a daily health companion that turns women’s experiences into clarity, confidence, and advocacy.

Because no woman should spend six months thinking she’s having heart attacks. And no woman should ever feel unheard when it comes to her health.
