Building for women means building with women.
The heart of FoXX is community
When people think about health tech, they often picture data, dashboards, and diagnostics. But at FoXX, our foundation has always been something much more human: connection.
We believe that meaningful change in women’s health starts with listening. Listening to experiences, frustrations, and stories that have been overlooked or dismissed. That’s why, before a single line of code was written, we built a community.
Why building with women matters
For decades, women’s health has been shaped by assumptions rather than lived experience. Data sets are incomplete. Symptoms are too often minimized or misunderstood. Patterns that could change care are missed entirely.
So we asked ourselves: what if women weren’t just the users of a health app, but the architects of it? That question inspired The Den, our in-app community where women connect, share stories, and exchange insights on everything from hormones to headaches. It also led to the creation of our Advisory Committee, a diverse group of more than 100 women who guide our product development through their real-world experiences. From the language we use to the features we prioritize, every element of FoXX is shaped by the people it serves.
Inside The Den: where conversations become insights
The Den is more than a forum. It’s the heartbeat of FoXX. It’s where everyday conversations transform into collective knowledge, and where no topic is too small, too messy, or too taboo. It’s a space for real talk, about symptoms, cycles, mental health, relationships, and the realities of being a woman navigating a healthcare system that often doesn’t listen. A woman might ask, “Does anyone else get migraines right before their period?” Another might share, “Here’s what helped my anxiety when I changed my diet.” These moments of connection remind us that our experiences, when shared, become powerful data points that drive change.
Every story adds to a growing tapestry of women’s health intelligence, data powered by compassion and rooted in lived experience.
The co-creation model: how feedback shapes FoXX
From our early beta testers to our ambassadors and advisory members, women have had a voice in every stage of FoXX’s development. When users told us they wanted a calmer, more supportive tone, we changed our copy. When advisors asked for more nuanced symptom tracking, we built it. When community members raised concerns about privacy, we strengthened encryption and improved transparency.
This is what “building with women” means to us. It’s not a campaign line. It’s an ongoing practice of listening, adapting, and co-creating something better together.
Where we’re headed next
FoXX is a movement toward a better kind of healthcare. One that values lived experience as much as lab results, and community insight as much as clinical data. We want a world where women’s stories don’t just live in journals or group chats but help shape the science of tomorrow. If you’ve ever felt unheard in a doctor’s office, unsupported in your symptoms, or unsure where to turn, The Den is here for you.
Together, we’re rewriting what women’s health can look like.
